Ummmm you know youre on lemmy right? The whole point of lemmy is that some company doesnt own everything and thats why people dont want to use discord. Its kind of ironic to use discord for a foss project when you think about it.

They are mostly more technical and architecture based issues. Also the model of the whole ubuntu ecosystem. At least for me.
In my experience everything already had drivers installed on linux. I think with the logitech stuff you mean the stupid configuration ui that would perfectly work on linux but they choose to not port it(you can still use it with wine for example). All my keyboards have qmk so that works on linux. A github project is much less shady because you can check the source code. Idk whats wrong with your trackpad. Battery life is hit or miss on linux, i get more hours on linux currently but only after installing some stuff. On ubuntu or mint the battery life should be good out of the box. Anticheat is basically anti-linux so ofc it wont work. For me backwards compatibility is better on linux than windows. When i try to run old software on windows it never works. Software support is pretty good nowadays but some professional stuff wont work. If you do that you should go mac lol.
Yeah people will download a patched windows iso, go through an extremely complicated install process to have everything the way they want, flip a few bits in windows with some shady ass tool and give up updates instead of just using linux.
But for most people android is what they get on a samsung for example. Thats full of samsung and google closed source code. A lot of apps rely on google services and you need hacks to makenthem work without it.
You only use that on a touchpad
I guess ubuntu firefox(my sister installed them on my first laptop and they just worked) and vlc. Calling android open source is kinda a stretch.
Arch linux when you compile 400 packages because of updates while youre watching a movie and its still faster than i quick patch on windows.
Osmand and orgabic maps. Google maps just feels like home to me.
Facebook messenger bc of my waterpolo teammates, discord, google maps bc im horrible at using maps and other apps are just too hard for me lol. Spotify bc i have all my liked songs and albums on it and im too lazy to migrate. On the desktop side everything i use is foss basically.
I know but i like customizing everything(btw i use arch)
Gnu/hurd maybe???
Umm… yay -Syu
Give the guy a break. Theyre young, dumb and never knew it would explode like this.
