Well, tiling window managers exist.

Well, tiling window managers exist.

KDE is stable in my experience, but I don’t enjoy the window management and the shitloads of embedded packages. Now I’m on river for the time being.
My grandma had a prestigious tablet which was bootlooping randomly. The service store claimed it was fine and didn’t honor warranty multiple times. Well, this was a shitty alibaba rebrand anyway.

Thinkbooks are actually decent (quality-wise), but the ideapads - fuck them, I’m never making that mistake again, I hate typing on practically rocks and having no upgrade path.

Well the newer ones are decent again.

Why the fuck would you even need to update the monitor firmware. It’s a screen, that displays things.

VS, that’s it. Other than that, office once a few months when my school requests an assignment in .docx / .pptx /.xlsx format. Edit: forgot about windows install USB-s (I know ventoy exists).

Congratulations.

They just ignore you or say “who cares?”. An average person doesn’t have the critical thinking skills an ideological/sceptical person does. They don’t want to know about alternatives to the things they use, because that would require energy, which we reflexively try to save for fictional danger, which never takes place.
Wow, cool never knew when I used it.
The best syntax is zypper’s zypper in se, etc.

Or Just buy a used amd laptop from eBay.
Well, it works for MC, older games, even stray runs somewhat (from my experience). It’s decent for a 300€ laptop with a quad core like the ones in the post.

Yep, suse is cool, the default firewall config is way more restricted (safer but annoying at times). Dbeaver can’t install some essential depends for some reason and shotcut is missing some features (I could try fixing it but for now I just use appimages). It is way more stable than fedora or arch, even if I sometimes forget to upgrade it for months.

Well m-series macs are decent spec and reliability wise, but repairability is a shitshow. I’d buy one if I could afford it (but I suspect the keyboard is terrible). Edit: Linux in a few years is possible.

Bypass works - wire the USB port to the BMS of the battery or just the USB cable directly and out the headphone port (while removing the port of course).

Holly shit!

Wow, forgot about this one.
Just switch to sway. As far as I know, the config should be compatible (if you swap the complex utils for Wayland ones). But I haven’t tried it (I do use river and really like it though, so I do recommend sway).
