I’ve never heard of TrackIR before now.

I run mine in a VM but have USB passthrough for the Zwave and zigbee sticks. I didn’t know there were POE coordinators. Do you have any you recommend? I use both zwave and zigbee

What hole does Ansible fill for you? I haven’t looked into it in the past really, so just curious. I have a single Paoxmox node so don’t really need horizontal scaling orchestration.

If you want to host your own email server, then do that. As someone earlier in the thread said, email was the first federated messaging system. That was the entire point of SMTP. Anyone could host one and trust it would work.

I don’t know if it’s what you’re looking for, as it’s not ActivityPub based, but Postmoogle is a Matrix bridge email server, where you can send emails to it and they’ll be converted to Matrix messages. There might be a similar thing for ActivityPub?

I just poked on the demo and I think it could, however it might be a bit clunky. Maybe could be a viable thing to request of the dev. Maybe alongside a donation for a sort of bounty.

I think the point they’re making is you can effectively have a self hosted non federated option with Matrix. Just disable federation as a whole (which I’m pretty sure is completely possible. Given companies use matrix for comms, and might not want federation, for similar reasons to what is being discussed here)
