Games? Mac isn’t a great choice.
CLI-centric work over ssh? Windows is pretty terrible.
I’m in the second category. I have consoles and a Steam Deck for games, so, standalone PC is a waste for that purpose. I work on code and tools that are meant exclusively for running on Linux and haven’t had a Windows machine in over a decade. Working on Windows would require that I learn the OS just for that and I really don’t want to. Plus, the company likes the support contracts.
