It’s kinda boring because I always keep the thing that personalizes your autocorrect off.

So, how would MX be under the “How do you do, fellow kids?” one? It’s completely flying over my head.
I must have missed that comment.
So… Anybody smarter than me know that 24 across is. I thought something like showering/bathing because supposedly people don’t like to shower/cleanup as cons but neither seem to fit. Then I thought friends but that doesn’t make sense either. So I got nothing.
Edit: Remove the ING from showering and it fits. Gotta check the connected ones to see if it works, though, assuming I get those right.
Edit Edit: I absolutely hate the "Best WM (Wayland) one because that is too subjective to be able to be answered correctly, if you ask me.
My personal favorite acronym like that definitely goes to AROS (Amiga Research Operating System) that if I remember correctly had to - for legal reasons - change the name. Rather than come up with a completely new name, went with AROS Research Operating System.
Edit: name change was apparently to avoid any trademark issues with the Amiga name.
Easy. Buy a new laptop, let them upgrade from w•ndows to arch, then dump arch for something like MX or whatever else I use in the future. Then I wouldn’t have to touch the default w•ndows installation forced into me.
Time to shoot the newbie. First used Ubuntu 20.04 in 2022. It was a necessity at the time on that shitty laptop and I had never used Linux before. Wouldn’t go back to using that distro or laptop ever again since I have upgraded.
Damn, I wish my basically non-existent CSS skills were that good!
I’ve got selective sight, I guess.
All jokes aside, after hearing that EOL is coming to Win10 this October, I have decided over the summer, before fall quarter is in and I’m back to start my 2nd year of college, that I would definitely be taking everything I need/want off of my desktop and switch to something like mint or MX because of how simple and user friendly they’ve been to me as someone who’s only been using Linux for maybe 2-3 years. Only things I would I need are dedicated time and personal drive to pull that off and a new external drive for storing all my files.
The way I see it is Android users are Linux users the same way fans of games who have only played the spin-off games are to people who have played the mainline games. They’re just a different kind of fan.
I mean, if I had the time, skill, and drive, I’d probably go to Hell and back customizing my laptop to look like it’s running xp since I think that look still holds up to this day.
For out of the box looks, personally like KDE more than any of the others I’ve seen.
Proton is such a big win for Linux, alongside the Steam Deck and SteamOS
I don’t know how I fixed it, but KDE Plasma 5.whatever on MX was acting up. It would let me login but if I couldn’t do much else. Wouldn’t respond to my clicks or anything. Thankfully I could open Yakuake and install a different desktop environment. Then, one day while I was backing up files to do a reinstall, it started working again. I could use Plasma without issues. I have no clue what fixed it, though.
It also came with a non-issue of now my laptop won’t auto turn on every time I open it up, but I’ll take that over having to reinstall and set things back up.
Not using Plasma 6, but just a short while ago I had a plasma crash while shutting down, which prevented my laptop from shutting down. Pretty ironic. Thankfully I know a logout keyboard shortcut so I could shut it down.
When/if this happens, if I got the money, I hope I find someone selling their old desktop to upgrade to 11 so I can get a cheap computer to use as a personal testing grounds server that I don’t mind nuking if I accidentally mess up something.

Here’s the problem:
Doesn’t matter the country/countries. Due to bureaucracy and lobbying, this will take forever for anyone to get anything done. And by the time it’s done, something better will have appeared and will be using any and all loopholes present in whatever bill they pass to do the exact same shit that is happening now.
The biggest issue with Mozilla if they didn’t decide to put some form of AI stuff in Firefox is that their competitors could use it as ammunition to fuel an as campaign painting Firefox as not only out of touch and outdated, but less secure because they don’t have AI security.
I can guarantee if average person, like my middle aged parents who aren’t very tech savvy, saw an ad pointing that out (no matter how untrue it is) I’d be told about it the next chance they got, proving they believe it.
They have to keep up with what their competitors are doing or get left behind and die a slow and painful death. AI is just the latest trend to be added, and Mozilla is just trying to keep up to ensure whatever remainder of normies still use Firefox don’t decide to abandon ship.
I personally don’t like it, but what other options are there?
