I also have one. I call it “C”
Yes. It’s not wrong 100% of the time, otherwise you could make a fortune by asking it for investment advice and then doing the opposite.
What happened is like the current robot craze: they made the technology resemble humans, which drives attention and money. Specialized “robots” can indeed perform tedious tasks (CNC, pick-and-place machines) or work safely with heavier objects (construction equipment). Similarly, we can use AI to identify data forgery or fold proteins. If we try to make either human-like, they will appear to do a wide variety of tasks (which drives sales & investment) but not be great at any of them. You wouldn’t buy a humanoid robot just to reuse your existing shovel if excavators are cheaper. (Yes, I don’t think a humanoid robot with digging capabilities will ever be cheaper than a standard excavator).
The purpose of code is to solve a problem but don’t tell that to the newbies or they reduce the PHP codebase you spend full time managing to 10% that in Rust and take your job.

Oh boy, is the A Button Challenge still ongoing. There is quite a hunt to further reduce the approx. 18 presses to get 120 stars in a full-game TAS, or to find faster and human-viable strategies to avoid these A presses.

I think they do make some kind of edutainment but not like this. Point-and-click adventures were relatively easy to integrate some education into but the kid needs the time and patience to find a solution when they inevitably get stuck (perhaps with hints but not walkthroughs). Their attention span is too short nowadays because content comes more often than on 1 CD-ROM per month for the delayed gratification of exploration and puzzle-solving to work.
I had a blast playing the Czech-localized version of Bioscopia until the CD got scratched and it started crashing. I was terrible at gaming (still am but can look up guides now) so I never got past the starting area and reception. Still, the interactive encyclopedia kept working and I went through most of it. I recently pirated a working English-language copy (developed by Tivola together with the German one, I think) and had a blast. It would still crash at later points but I was able to hack the required items in through the plaintext XML save file, as well as 99 credit on the keycard (not as interested in biology anymore) and finish the game.
Dreamcast? Tivola?

Is it referring to a web address or .NET?
That’s why “availability” is a core tenet of security (according to some cybersecurity course I took). It is easy to prevent unauthorized access to data if you have no requirements on authorized access.
It is okay if they only do what you asked for.
“Okay, Audacity, save to ‘C:\Users\me\Documents\recording.aup’”
*folder 'C:\Users\me\Documents\recording_data' shows up*
Some people have diacritics and spaces in their usernames, which wreaks havoc for badly written programs accessing AppData or folders in the user’s “home” directory, such as Documents. And there are lots of such programs.
When setting up Windows, use a short and memorable, DOS-compatible username, and then change it later (the home folder will still have the old name). You can then move indiidual Libraries (Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures and Videos) to the root of D:\ too.
The PR is getting way ahead of rocketry results. It’s not helping that Elon is involved.

Back then, there were still lots of “wipers” that deleted files and/or destroyed the OS. Now it’s all spyware and ransomware.
