Thanks! Looks like a really interesting app as well.

Recently at work I set up Windows to open spreadsheets and word documents in Libreoffice Calc and Writer instead of Excel and Word. Nobody seems to have noticed yet.
Either that or they don’t know how to change back again.
I tried a few out and found that Flowblade worked best for me. If you’re only trimming and combining video though, you MUST check out Lossless Cut. It’s ridiculously fast.
Do you know if hugo blogs can federate?
Peachy. Sounds like there’s nothing to worry about then (from a user POV).
I’ve installed it from F-droid but still. Fuck google. They really do need breaking up.
I heavily rely on Syncthing. Does anyone know what the outlook is for Syncthing-fork, or what the likelihood is of someone taking on maintenance of this version?
Yeah, Scribus has come up a lot when I’ve been looking into FOSS & Linux printing workflows. I will give it a proper look! Thanks :)
From what I’ve experienced of Krita it is absolutely lovely for drawing and I know a lot of people really enjoy using it for general graphic design too. I think it might still be a bit too complex for the sort of people and uses I have in mind though. I think what they need is: Pick a page size, make a box in a very basic and visually obvious way, type in the box. Make another box in a very visually obvious way, put a picture in the box which automatically scales. Move boxes around.
Of course this is what GIMP and Krita do, but because they incorporate so much control and extra functionality there are also a lot of things that can ‘go wrong’ for a novice without them knowing why. I’m actually wondering whether Libreoffice Draw or even Writer might be the best option! I’m not aware that they have any image manipulation tools though…
You are a true martyr my friend and I feel you!
Sweet! I’ve experimented with installing a few bits from gnome look but haven’t made any of my own. How difficult is it? I’ve managed to theme my favourite terminal applications though. A big part of my satisfaction is based on feeling, a large part of which is visual. Diehard instrumentalists may look down on me for it but I am unashamed and not alone.
I’m at the point in my Linux journey where I have settled into a stable system, configured 99.9% how I want it. Seeing diminishing returns on effort put into tweaking it. But I just keep looking at window managers. I have people who need me in the world but I just can’t stop looking at them. I don’t know what to do.
Awesome! I’m super excited about 3.0 :D
Very helpful contribution - thanks 🙏
More people should know about F-droid.
WordPress is good in this respect because a) RSS and b) Activitypub (and therefore fediverse) integration.
I really love the vibe of the arts scene here on the fediverse, especially seen through Pixelfed.
Reuters is pretty boring.
Where do you tend to get your arts feeds from? Most of mine are fediverse feeds (mostly Pixelfed).
It’s pretty amazing isn’t it?! There’s no way that I would have had the time and patience set up a server without it.
