I’m still not quite sure what you think the Steam Deck runs on if it isn’t Linux. I can connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to it and use it as a computer. A computer that runs Linux.

If a user is using a Steam Deck then they are using Linux though.
I’m right there with you. The reddit thing has pushed me over the tipping point. I wiped Windows from my gaming PC and installed Linux Mint. I also am testing out /e/os on my phone.
I’m running my own server on a linode. I’ve got it on the cheapest tier which is $5 a month. I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do when the 25GB gets full, I’ll have to find out the best way to delete old posts and pictures.
Corporate Greed
Hello. I run coeus.sbs
It hasn’t been running long and it will evolve over time. I have a community called !green@coeus.sbs for posting images of green things.
I’m sorry that you’re having those issues. I haven’t noticed any of those things. I do wish you luck in finishing the right app for you.
Maybe start from scratch? Maybe you could ask the developer. I bought SSL tickets but ended up not needing them
Lemmy Easy Deploy handles the SSL certificates for you. You don’t need to buy them
I used Lemmy Easy Deploy
I’ve tried a couple for Lemmy so far and Jerboa is the one I keep going back to. I’m excited to see new developments on everything though.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I am commenting on this post from my own instance and it says it has 0 replies which I know is wrong. I did only federate with Selfhosted just a few hours ago. Who know how long it will take this post to get back to lemmy.world.
I’ve never seen that stereotype. I’m not so sure it is one.
