I’m a complete linux noob currently using Bazzite and its treated me well so far. I just web browse and game on this machine though, no professional or special requirements like some have.

Yet mine was detected immediately and without issue, more anecdotes please.

Some days most of what goes through my feed is Linux stuff, c/FuckCars, and hardcore communism and it feels like I’m in the wrong place. Most of the time I enjoy myself though.

Some guy got mad at me for referring to linux as GNU/Linux in a post clearly making fun of him for being a huge shit head to someone earnestly trying to do something on Linux and failing. Never address any of the criticisms, just called me an idiot and a liar. SOME linux users are their own worst enemy if they want wider adoption.

I’ve though about it, I might just wait until I need to upgrade my platform and therefore need to reinstall anyway. Does Intel vs AMD and Nvidia vs AMD even really matter anymore btw?

I’m in the process of getting my hands on a cheap laptop to at least use Linux so the eventual transition is easier, though.

I want to jump to linux, but the prospect of starting from scratch on a new OS (or even a reinstall of windows) is just not feasible right now.
