10·8 months agoYeah but self hosting comes with a lot of risks. You need to spend time to back up to another hard drive every now and then otherwise you’re just risking your precious memories. I tried out immich (which is amazing btw, kudos to the dev) but it just doesn’t feel dependable for the long term.
Sorry but their prices are out of this world.

Not really. Even Amazon, Apple and Google have been investing in assistants less and less. They have had massive lay offs from voice assistant teams.

There is no reason why it should not exist other than the fact that there really is no interest. Except for a few uses here and there (driving for example), voice assistants are just gimmicks.
