I’m lost.

I’m lost.

there is around 193 countries in the world
All of which are out of my reach. Lol.

hosted in a territory that doesn’t require these “security” measures
And then what do we do once everyone does these measures? There will be nowhere to run.

Ubuntu
Ew.

Oh they don’t? Huh… TIL.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll update my comment. 👍

You can press PrtSc to take a screenshot.
Edit: Apparently, rendering issues often don’t get included in a screenshot, which is definitely different than I expected. So, screenshots may or may not be viable for this context. If the latter, then apologies. 👍

As others have said, the general rule is simple: if it no longer runs what you want it to run, upgrade.
For example, I have an Nvidia RTX 2060 GPU. It’s no longer that new, it’s like 5+ years old at this point. But most of the games I play are at least 10 years old—I think the newest, and most graphically intense, game I own is Cyberpunk 2077—and my GPU runs them just fine.
So, why would I spend hundreds of dollars on a new GPU when it’s still wholly functional for my needs?

Ooh that’s a good point. I mean, not Linux Mint because as thanksforallthefish said below it’s not a Mint-supported DE but I actually installed Arch (btw) with the KDE Plasma DE onto an old laptop I have and yeah it definitely gives early-2010s OS X vibes. :)

I hate GNOME because it feels like an iPhone.
That’s fair.
I don’t know much about what Ubuntu is doing but it surely can’t be that bad.
You would be surprised.

Yeah…
See, I used to like Ubuntu, but then Canonical had to ruin it for me by betraying the principles that Linux stands for.
Ubuntu is a shadow of its former self, and it saddens me. :(

You know, I can see that.
Still, mac users use macs because they just want the computer to work.
And the Cosmic DE is rather new so can be a bit buggy from time to time. It might look mac-friendly, but its stability is still largely untested so caution may be advised before recommending it in my opinion.

Ubuntu is heresy. Canonical hath turned against the users.
Also, I’m genuinely curious: why do you hate GNOME?

They didn’t say beeteedubs so clearly not.

If she’s a Windows refugee, Linux Mint.
If she’s a Mac refugee, fuck if I know.
If she’s a IBM OS/2 refugee, please let me know how to get the drugs she’s gotten. I want in.

Sorry for the late reply (it’s been a busy week at work), but yeah, unfortunately, not all software supports that method. For instance, it doesn’t seem to work on Matrix when using either Element (desktop) or FluffyChat (Android). So, I just got into the habit of do it that way everywhere because at least most places seem to support it. Lol.

test.

Because there doesn’t seem to be any other way to have line breaks show up. Lol.
See? This line is actually separated after the above one by two lines.

It’s no trouble! I’m happy to explain! ^_^

I’ve tried it and it’s a little too barebones for my needs.
I also do, unfortunately, care about layers.
But I appreciate the suggestion! <3
Not necessarily.
I’ve had a couple instances where a game would run in Wine but not in Proton or even GE-Proton.
It was Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Lol. In Proton (or GE-Proton), the game would run but it wouldn’t save games, not even autosaves. But I played it using Wine and it worked totally fine.
My point it it’s very rare but it can happen.
