That one Israeli on the Threadiverse. No, sending me death threats won’t change my mind, try arguments instead
Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I’m a liberal
I don’t post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech because I’ve mostly given up on trying to argue politics on there

17·10 months agoI’m gen Z, pretty much all Zoomers I chat with use slang (and part of it comes from AAVE, this is just how slang develops, it often comes from marginalized groups), I can’t believe some people actually think this is enough to cancel someone for
If a person would write it somewhere other than Fedi, people would probably just assume that you’re joking or making fun of a term cultural appropriation, but oh well

30·10 months ago“Used AAVE as slang” is gonna get ya cancelled now? Lol, this is absurd, if those are the reasons, using them you can cancel 80% of young folk, y’all are crazy
This is kinda sad tho, that while racism and real bigots exists, y’all waste your time cancelling people for using “y’all”

Firefox@fedia.io•Firefox 134.0, See All New Features, Updates and Fixes
1·10 months agoWell, they call it “progressive role out” , this is what they say
Certain new Firefox features are released gradually. This means some users will see the feature before everyone does. This approach helps to get early feedback to catch bugs and improve behavior quickly, meaning more Firefox users overall have a better experience.

5·10 months agoA refreshed New Tab layout is being rolled out to users in the US and Canada, featuring a repositioned logo and weather widget to prioritize Web Search, Shortcuts, and Recommended Stories at the top. The update includes changes to the card UI for recommended stories and allows users with larger screens to see up to four columns, making better use of space.
Pretty interesting
I hope it will be added to mobile version as well, it’s the only thing stopping me from switching to the mobile Firefox
Ooh, okay, that must be it then, thanks for info
Yes, that’s why I’m confused about this announcement, I’m pretty sure Ecosia was already an option as a search engine, so I wasn’t sure what it entails
@TheTwelveYearOld@lemmy.world I’m not sure I have understood what the partnership is about? Is #Ecosia now a default search engine on #firefox or what? I’m kinda confused

Alt text is something that might not seem important to the majority of people, and often people can’t be bothered to write it, but it can be crucial for people who have troubles with sight. This is an initiative that makes PDFs more accessible, and I think better a11y is good

3·1 year agoI can understand them, I use Firefox on my PC, but Chrome on my phone, as I can’t live without tab groups there, for me it’s almost unusable without it, as I always have 100+ tabs open on my mobile browser
When they’ll add it, I’ll use Firefox on both

I like Every Door app, it makes it trivial to contribute and it’s pretty nice
