True is not cause it not emulating CPU/GPU of a different device, is more like a translator of sorts as it translates windows modules like directx and stuff in a way that Linux can interpret them and use them!

I use Linux cause I wanted to prove I can, I hate both Linux and windows for different reasons but I at least can use both!
What does he mean by X, x11 or xorg ?
In short a graphics interface with code that is not old af!
I use arch my friend and I still find this meme retarded!
I think this is actually more damaging especially if you make a cronjob with it: sudo rm -rf “$(sudo find / -type f -print0 | shuf -n1 -z)”
Who the fuck does that to “live life on the edge”? And what kind of mental illnesses do you have ?
Quick question why are you so sure that startpage, duckduckgo or brave are not tracking your data ? As far as I’m concerned they need to make money too there is no such thing as free shit. Also even if they are more private and don’t track your date if the search is not giving the results you want/need it’s not really a good search engine, I’m saying this as a few years back I tried duckduckgo and it was so bad at that point at giving results I wanted/needed that even bing was doing a better job.
Well to be fair even if you go full conspiracy theory or whatever an go insane to the point of blocking everything I doubt you are completely safe from anyone knowing who you are or what you do. In my country a few years back it was a big scandal because the internet ISPs were decrypting trafic and we’re knowing everything anyone did on the internet as well as selling that date to ad companies. So I don’t really care about this shit anymore cause I already know someone somewhere is already selling my data, I use an ad block just to not be bothered by stupid pop-up ads and that’s about it.
I did encountered that DE gone after update issue before thought after I switch to Arch and install everything from scratch I never encountered that issue again. Then again I know what each package was at that point so whenever I did updates I knew if it would fuck anything and exclude packages that would cause conflict.
This meme is so cringe, fine you hate windows whatever but saying you would do this instead of using it makes me wanna convince you to put hot sauce in your eyes.
Same applies for Manjaro with KDE and on top of that it has support for wallpaper engine which I really wanted.
I recommend KDE as when I switch from windows I tried multiple DE and that one felt the most like windows it also had support for wallpaper engine which I really wanted!
For windows users that go to Linux I always recommend KDE as it looks like windows and it’s easy for them to understand and use it!
Well that’s the problem I was getting 10-20% lower performance on Linux with an Nvidia GPU not to mention g-sync did not work and I was getting screen tearing and bad frame times with Nvidia. That’s why I chose to switch to AMD when I upgraded. Low and behold no such issues anymore.
It works but the performance is worst compare to Nvida on windows, I was loosing 10 to 20 fps not to mention that it had some issues with v-sync. I literally was having screen tearing on a 144hz monitor that had g-sync. That’s why I chose to get an AMD gpu when I upgrade I also got a 240hz monitor with freesync and now I actually see either better performance compare to windows or the same!
That the point Nvidia drivers are not grate on Linux I got AMD card specifically for this reason! Had an GTX 1070 before and I had quite a lot of issues with drivers now I have none!
Hardware Ryzen 7 5800x with RX 6800xt 32gb ram as for distro Arch Wayland KDE.
Been using it for half an year now, either the issues are insignificant or I do not observ them cause it’s not bothering me!
Yes but an emulator emulates both the CPU and GPU of the consoles and in the case of PS4 even thought the CPU is x86 the biggest difference I can think of is the GPU drivers.
