I would love to use the KApps for Calendar / Contacts / Mail for a better integration into KDE. But at this point Thunderbird is just so far ahead, I’m not sure KDE will be able to close the gap to make those apps a viable alternative

I couldn’t deal with their electron desktop client, so I ended up with QOwnNotes. Gread QT app for fellow KDE enthusiasts
It so is. The only protocol that might beat it once it gets a desktop client is SimpleX
I’ve bought a DELL Venue 11 Pro 7130 just recently for the same reason. Seems to run Fedora 38 just fine.
It’s basically Linux/KDE for mobile devices. I can’t suggest any ressource in particular beyond what duckduckgo will tell you.
