I am running 8 gigs on my piece of shit laptop, and i just have to make sure not to open minecraft and the browser at once, otherwise it’s absolutely fine

One thing that comes to mind is an NTP server, or if you have a beefy server, you could host maps
It happened to me once, disabled cloud backup on my documents folder, and onedrive decided if it can’t have my folder, no one can
I did get my data back, since onedrive kept it in the rubbish bin or somewhere like that
After that i nuked onedrive from my laptop, and now i use arch btw

I’d advice against it, aside from spam filters, and it being a general PITA, there is a chance your ISP will block any outgoing mail traffic (in my case orange blocks it)
It’s not just google, google is just the most popular, so a lot of the seo is targeted for it
To be fair it may be a security concern if someone is copy pasting passwords
Not only that but they also detect VMs so if you want to play it you have to dual boot
