Selfhosted@lemmy.world•How would you expose Jellyfin securely without a vpn?English
1·4 months agoIs there a way to this with like a MAC address instead of an IP? Allowing specific devices (my parents have a Firestick that they travel with) would be pretty ideal.
I didn’t realize for way too long that the song “Ironic” had no actual examples of irony in it, and that in itself is ironic. Blew my mind.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Mecha Comet is a modular Linux handheld coming soon to Kickstarter for $159 - Liliputing
4·2 years agoFunny story. LG made something with a similar concept about 10 years ago and it never really took off. The LG G5 was a modular smart phone that was supposed to have a bunch of cool modules, but they never came to fruition.
I had one, but mostly because I loved having a swappable battery. Never had to charge my phone, I would just have a spare battery charging on my desk and I would swap it out before I left the house.
Oh my fucking god. Thank you!
Linus was ahead of the game on this one. Nvidia should start building data centers next to public pools. Cool the systems and warm the pools.

Yes, alt+F4 is the “force close the foreground app/window” command in Windows. People used to say it in counter strike lobbies. It was always funny when you saw:
PlayerA: Remember if you are low on funds, press alt+f4 for infinite money PlayerB: really? PlayerA: yup! PlayerB has disconnected
