I meant knowledge wise. Many people in technical industries lack the ability to diagnose issues because they don’t have a true understanding of what they actually do. They follow diagnostic trees or subscribe to what I call “the rain dance” method where they know something fixes a problem but they didn’t really know why. If you mention anything outside of their small reality they will refuse to acknowledge it’s existence.

In my experience a lot of IT people are unaware of anything outside of their bubble. It’s a big problem in a lot of technical industries with people who went to school to learn a trade.

You can get a Linux container image as well I think.

Any news on the “pro” line? They were installed on business PCs and had additional security features built in. For instance there is a 3600 pro model.

So there’s this company called flock safety. They provide license plate cameras for the majority of police departments in the US. They’re talking about providing another service in order to do traffic analysis. It won’t be too long until they start selling data to advertising companies. You would say, so what they can’t know who I am based on a licence plate. Guess what? If you go to a gas station they could take a picture of your license plate and corelate it with your credit card in order to find your name. Imagine driving down the road and having targeted ads on a billboard.

I usually use Ubuntu containers because it has more packages by default and then I don’t have to worry about dependencies so much.
