You literally typed this in a KDE community, how do you fail to know what Plasma is?

I’m not saying it’s impossible, I just haven’t tried it yet. I don’t actually know if it has the hardware for it.
Not on this device but I have on a PinePhone before, works just fine. Ideally it would use the desktop shell on the external monitor though, that sadly doesn’t happen yet (but is planned for the future).
I think just checking the website is a better resource than the screenshots I could make.

And no you can not get this working with Termux. This requires a proper Linux system and only supports Wayland.
I’m not sure what there is to screenshot, it’s all pretty stock tbh. I didn’t customize anything besides installing apps 😅
It already has, NeoChat exists
export EDITOR=nano
.
But (neo)vim is amazing so there is no need to do that.
They all use the same KDE stack, just the shell on top is different. They share as much code as possible.
Yeah it’as weird. Afaik the apps are part of the KDE but the shell is not. No clue why, I’d remove Maui entirely from KDE tbh…
Index is, as you mentioned, really the only option on Plasma Mobile for managing your files, but Pix and Vvave can be replaced with Koko and Elise respectively. We should probably make work of that.
It’s not really KDE though, it’s kinda it’s own thing…
I have some very, very, very, very WIP KDE widgets for Dart/Flutter in a project running. Currently it has almost nothing but it already automatically switches color theme when you switch color schemes in KDE for example 😄
Don’t expect too much of that though, it’s very unofficial and something I’m doing whenever I feel like it.
It could, but it doesn’t currently. Patches welcome!
You can yes, but you have to decide to either be stuck with Mastodon UX or Lemmy UX. They’re both different and I like to switch UX whenever I please, and currently I need 2 accounts to do so.
They have completely different client API’s so no it’s not compatible. Quite a different UX as well, I don’t think it would fit in well.
I’d love to be able to use 1 login for all of the Fediverse though, just switching clients based on the UX I want at that time.
In my case I don’t have a choice in the matter, I need to use a Macbook for work so I can run Xcode for iOS apps. I will however have full control over the machine so am going to run Linux on it and only boot macOS when absolutely necessary.
I’m sure more people are like that.
Just make sure imagemagick is installed. convert input.webp output.jpg
will also work.
A bug, I have that from time to time as well. Not sure what to do about it tbh
GitHub is just a mirror, actual development happens on https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/
I works technically yes. However it’s UI isn’t optimized for using it with a remote.
When you @ to kde@linux.kde.social in your post it will post it in this community. It seems communities are also accounts on the fediverse, kinda nifty really.
