The same with windows tho, you always have to find solutions.
I was on linux mint, kde plasma and another rather odd distro with a window manager. All worked out of the box. But i saw hell let loose with someone with cameras and just the cameras, the rest seemed fine and in working condition.
> Linux
> Everything works out of the box in comparison to dindows ( no driver search, no go to installer page x, no installer page z, no search for updates, everything in one place )
> Gets in all games 10+fps more because of reduced bloat
> Distro hops back and forth with no data or functionality loss and almost 1 click “restoration” of apps etc.Is it just me?
But i can understand if artists really need photoshop they cant do that on linux because adobe explicitly gives no f*ck about any linux compatibility.
I must say if an app doesnt work, mostly its intentionally by the devs, and that sucks. Especially on games with Kernel level spy… i mean anti cheat.
Yeah in the terms of Bullshitification, firefox is still far of any chromium stuff.
I will never forget what brave did with their crypto sh*t in their browser.
I still use firefox ( and any fork of it ) rather than use any differently coloured chromium ( including brave, their ceo does not have a good reputation too )
Let me guess? CLOUD VMS? “Emulation” tries the most generic app: Doesnt work. Office apps will be the only functioning apps.

13·1 year agoWorks pretty good but basic error handling is missing. I made a issue and a PR for it already. My first try at streamlit.

8·1 year agoSame thought here, why uploading it to proton drive? github isnt evil that they trying to snatch that code or whatever. If you are so cautious then ramp up a gitea or gitlab self hosted instance up.
And you are the grammar end boss

You need to fight the windows update!
“You dont have to care about infrastructure…” is the bigest lie of those microservice hosting providers.
Java for the win i say.
Yeah, i know just because of the security vulnerabilities, but it was for a long time better OS than windows 10 or 11, and because of that i switched to linux,
Yeah windows 7 “elitist”, i saw some steam discussions about it. But it was just hot air, that they just bloated up.
Yeah Win7 is still good in comparison to win 11
Steam discontinued Win 7 and they told everyone linux would be next, but then why? Linux is up to date
edit: they* i mean Windows 7 users with it, sorry for the confusion!
