I’m going to put together a SteamOS system for my daughter with an old 3900X and RX480 so we can play side by side!
Sounds like the precursor to kubernetes and docker swarm!
My father in law called me because he talked to a MS support rep about how his computer was dying. He was running Linux Mint.
It’s technically possible but not recommended as the NTFS format has some quirks under Linux. Give yourself the best chance at everything working and do full reinstalls after a format.
Just checked on the FCC Broadband Map, and I saw options for AT&T (symmetrical gigabit), Spectrum (1000, 35 wtf), HughesNet (25,3), Starlink (50,10), Verizon (300,10) and I think T-Mobile even though they weren’t listed.
I’ll jump on the specs bandwagon. I really can’t complain much about Spectrum or AT&T. I currently have symmetrical gigabit with no cap for $80 a month. I just signed up for “straight forward pricing” which is supposed to lock in my rate for as long as I have it.
I’m outside of Charlotte, NC.
I remember when Valve first announced SteamOS in 2013. It made me start to tinker with Linux. I ended up setting up and breaking (so much breaking) an OMV install on my old gaming PC turned NAS.
Something that works fairly well for me:
sudo copy /etc/fstab /etc/fstab.bak
How do I mount a samba share in Ubuntu Server 22.04?
Voyager has an amazing PWA. Using it right now!
That was my first NAS OS, too! It’s a gateway drug 😆
