Context is important and voyager does not provide that. Many people respond to the wrong person in threads. For example you just replied to me about pronouns which isn’t my topic.

With Whatsapp for Business? Cause that’s a specific thing: https://business.whatsapp.com/
One of those is Amazon prior to chatgpt, the other is Amazon a few weeks back.
It shows almost nothing and definitely leads to confusion about who is talking to who :(
I think those are for sales, like b2c advertising. Not for how your business talks to each other internally to destroy databases.

Linux@lemmy.ml•my reason why you should use KDE+Krohnkite instead of WMs
1·7 days agoKeeping it in your bedroom has advantages, especially if you’re prone to forgetting because you see it right in front of you before you go to bed. It also dries faster (less bacteria growth) and you never have to clear it out to clean your bathroom sink (obviously a non-issue if you have a cabinet).
But uh, I got you

1·11 days agoWe’re talking about things that take ms to decide and act upon. I mean if you prefer it or you’re used to it that’s fine but for many people I’d argue the cost of change in either direction is higher than the aggregate savings in time.

172·12 days agoExcept the person who wrote that, regardless of the actual issues with FUTO, cannot be trusted and is an unreliable source.
I really would encourage people to not treat that guy as a real source, but use it as a starting point for evaluating his sources, such as they are, on their own merits.

4·17 days agoHaving windows on top of each other might be useless but it also doesn’t hurt anything, and KDE already has the ability to snap windows into different positions. So this description doesn’t really capture the problem you’re solving.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Windows 10 refugees flock to Linux in what devs call their "biggest launch ever"
23·23 days agoMy os does not do that
I don’t consider “wanting a secure app to be installed through first party means” to be particularly unusual. I know in Linux it’s standard to just install random stuff from the internet with root. I’ve obviously done that myself, but for secure stuff I want first party. Making a flatpak wouldn’t be hard (they probably just need to review someone else’s work – it’s like an intern project)

14·23 days agoIf you care to trust random strangers with your secure messenger that’s a choice you can make (admittedly the desktop isn’t particularly secure to begin with but even more reason to use the actual org’s build imo). I’m sure christian heusel is very reputable.

12·23 days agoThe signal org produces a debian-compatible package and an apt server. I suppose there are hoops to jump through to make that work reliably on other distros but by that point my interest in using Linux was dwindling. (I actually moved for the performance benefits which didn’t materialize I think due to linux’ piss poor memory handling – I have a pretty low end laptop with only 16 gb of ram. the above we’re all just issues along the way).

17·23 days agoI mean your point may have been windows sucks ass but I’m aware of where I am and that’s a completely uninteresting claim here. Why not rant about water being wet – it’s just as unique or interesting as your take on windows.
What I specifically asked about is underhanded backstabs, because that’s a unique and interesting claim I haven’t read 464335735 times before on lemmy.

The visibility of information was the main topic, dad. We can all see the name of the person we are currently responding to, dad. Whether that’s the same as a prior discussion, dad, is hard to see, dad. Just fuck right off.
