Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Technitium DNS v14 is released with support for clusteringEnglish
6·6 months agoI’d love to hear from anyone has used this, especially if you moved from Pi-hole to Technitium. I run Pi-hole in an LXC and on a Pi3b and it’s mildly annoying to make changes or updates, so clustering has piqued my curiosity.

Linux@lemmy.ml•I just found out my fiancee wants to switch to linux, lets start a distro war, what should be her first? + other questionsEnglish
2·7 months agoI’ve dabbled with a few different distros in VMs and laptops that I don’t use a whole lot over the years. I recently moved my main desktop to Bazzite and I love it. The built-in ‘ujust’ scripts, or whatever you call them, are fantastic. Setting up an 8bitdo pro 2 was a breeze. Getting new apps installed, even with distrobox, is really easy. I’m sold on ublue, probably going to move my work laptop to Aurora soon.

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•How I feel after I put a new GPU after installing Linux MintEnglish
9·8 months agoHow do you “put a new GPU”?
I’ve used Ubuntu and multiple flavors of mint. I like bazzite the best. Literally zero problems since I switched.
Bazzite.
Super easy install and setup. Ready to start installing games at first boot. Just a wonderful OS to use.
I think looking at openscale would be worthwhile:

Looks like it can push to mqtt? Huh, that’s new to me.
Also, if you want HA, there’s this:

Good luck!
I’ve found this page to be super helpful over the years:
I’ve done this, like with gping. It’s great.
