iirc CyanogenMod was trademarked so the creator no longer had rights.
Its kind of sad, but I’m sure the author knew what they were getting into

Oh thanks! I switched to Bruno but much of our company still uses Insomnia and I’ve been pushing to get it blacklisted, because of the dark pattern, and the likelihood of tricking staff to upload credentials.
I also am very fond of 8.10. It was my first exposure to Linux :)
I agree with you, I don’t want the trouble and just use mailgun free tier.
That said, I just need password reset emails for my IAM solution.
I imagine some just want to try, under the desire to avoid having their email data misused for data collection / ai training
Some news sources sell suvscrptions via newsletter.
Personally I find it quite nice, its similar to RSS and has high quality authors.
Speaking of hard Windows things being easy on Gnome. The Gnome smb and rdp sharing capabilities work simply turning them on.
In Windows it’s a whole mess trying to force it to refresh the network or wait for that diagnostic loading bar while it resets everything for it to sometimes work.
But yaml forces the indentation
That’s just nfts with extra steps /s
I don’t have a stable experience with Plasma.
I also find a lot of the defaults frustrating.
One example is no easy option to replicate Windows / Gnome window management shortcuts. I want to be able to super + down to always minimize.
That said I would love for a focus on stability.
Do you use zfs? Something that I am unsure if is whether people are making ZFS backups to backblaze, or if they’re backing up files directly.
Ie: Do I need the same filesystem as the source in order to recover the data?
Are you using portainer-ee? Never had to do that using portainer-ce
You’re not mandated to update often but its encouraged.
It can be a lot easier, for example, to fix one small break three times than it is to fix 3 breaks at one time.
If you want reliable updates Arch isn’t the best fit IMO.
It can be perfectly reliable for sure, but it’s permitted not to be.
If you really want to update and not worry about it, I would consider Fedora, they test updates and upgrades while also being very close to bleeding edge.
Right? I wish that had more focus than HDR.
I think a big problem is TPM enforcing initramfs. Hoping ukis get wrapped up and as a result more focus is on trusted compute in general
I usually use subprocess. Python has a very nice API for calling subprocesses.
The best thing you can do is separate your home and be unafraid to try something new until you know your preferences.
I used Ubuntu for years, played with other distros but always thought I’d remain there.
I tried Fedora one day because it had a newer package and now I can’t find a more perfect distro.
Maybe I will in the future and die on that hill who knows.
Heh, i like that take more, I interpreted it as X as in a placeholder for any subject
I remember being so scared the first time I screwed up my
