I struggle with it, but still manage to find fun in what blizzard made. I understand that blizz is not what blizz was. I gave up hearthstone. But still enjoy d2 and d3 and I’m hoping the changes they made to d4 will be good. I played wow 20 years ago, coming back now feels like a new game and it does manage to spark nostalgia in me. I hear what you are saying, but I’m not quite done with blizz yet… Looking at you POE2.

I think you might be experiencing the Baader–Meinhof phenomenon, bc I’ve checked through the last few days, there are a few anime memes, and like… 1 “porn” meme… So not exactly like this places is flooded with that.
I don’t really feel like they detract or distract - anime is popular culture and that is gonna end up here and anywhere online where a bunch of sweaty nerds conversate… Same with porn.
Not trying to say “just block them” – but, just block them? There are plenty of users and instances Ive blocked because I do not align with their values. It’s a little work upfront, but your viewing pleasure will be better afterwards.

There was def a learning curve - but I kinda just forced myself to do it. I’m still figuring things out - but I have solved every issue I’ve run into so far - so I feel good about that.
Funny, it’s the opposite for me haha. Windows on work laptop. Linux on play laptop.
The Finals uses anti-cheat software and runs flawlessly on my machine. Such a shame these other developers won’t follow suit.
So serious question - are you supposed to dual boot window / Linux for some reason?
When I got frustrated with Windows - I wiped my hard drive and just installed Linux mint having literally never used Linux in my life. I didn’t like mint so I tried pop_os (someone here recommended it, thanks again!) and I see zero reason to go back to Windows now.
What is the point of going back to Windows when I can run everything i ran before on Linux now?
My games work better and I’ve found so many free open source alternatives to everything - it’s been really eye opening just jumping in. I’m glad I did.
Edit - I should have clarified Windows other than work, I understand Windows is the life blood of the corporate body - good points on forrnite / valorant / destiny - I don’t play those so I didn’t know.

Hell yeah. Yeah - 25 years of crud builds up. Those contacts just need a lil cleaning and you are good to go usually. Also if you feel so inclined - swapping out the pin slot in the system itself is very easy and cheap. There’s no soldering on the NES, not sure about the Sega… But honestly if just cleaning the pins on the game did the trick, I wouldn’t fuss with it.

Yeah that’s all I need - I’m super into everyone else hyper customizing what they use, I love seeing everything that can be done, but I just need something that works and pop_os is it, and as I’ve said before, my games run better on pip_os than they ever did on win 10/11

Funny I’m the opposite - I have to use Windows bullshit all day long at work. The last thing I want at home is to deal with it there - pop_os is stable and works perfect for me.
