It’s actually been 6 years or so. However, I love it so much that I built a time machine to continuously go back so I can use it more (makes no sense, I know, just roll with it) so for me it has been 84 years
Mint is Ubuntu-based so yeah, most stuff will work.
But also: The only reason I don’t recommend Ubuntu is because of Snaps and telemetry. If someone decides that they don’t mind, I don’t care. Everyone should just use the distro they like best
