to me it doesn’t matter tbh, as long as the 24th is somewhere monday-wednesday, that means days off that week, we get 24,25,26 off.

24th is Tuesday. 1st of January is Wednesday and as a bonus Jan 6 is also a holiday in my country and that’s Monday.

So from dec 22 to jan 6 i can be home by using just 6 days off

I keep tabs open just in case I need it later, definitely faster to try to find right tab across 4 windows with 20 tabs each than just opening the site when I need it again

nothing imo, it’s main benefit is making reproducible environments, imagine you need 10 machines to have the exact same things running on it, setting up each one would be a PITA and keeping them the same is near impossible, nixos solves that problem.

it’s not gonna do anything for you, most people just want a working OS system on your PC so that you can do the things you need to do, if you have that, there is no reason to be fucking around with nixos.

For gaming getting your graphics card going is much simpler. I never had steam and proton games run as well as they do with they nixos defaults

Linux people tend to forget, that people want something that just works, why I love Linux, I have a mac and later bought an Iphone, the UX difference of using and airpod pro with an Android phone and an Iphone is just miles apart, I can literally have it in my ears, click on a video on my mac and the sound transfers, then as I go out for a walk with my dog and start a podcast, the airpods switch back to my phone without any hassle.

Before that I would have to disconnect and reconnect bluetooth multiple times to switch between the android phone and the macbook.

Granted I maybe care a lot more about good UX than normal people, but good UX like that just makes me hard.

At least they don’t control the most popular code hosting site along with the most popular code editing software, right? Right?
