What people don’t always remember about FOSS is they are just making it for themselves they are users as well as devs. The great thing about FOSS is if someone else happens to use it that’s great and maybe they will contribute to something they use.

Its more you are at the cutting edge where the general public will be in a few years. The only time I don’t see that happening is when I think of the tildeverse as that is more an offshoot than a evolution of the tech landscape.

fuser is an easy command just point it at the file and it tells you the process ids that using that file.

Are you dual booting?

I get it that’s the impression and maybe i have used it for so long so i might have a blind spot but what makes it complicated? Its got a gui installer, a live cd. Other than the not having cutting edge software what makes it complicated?

I’m on AM5 with a 6800 and would have a newer card if the cost wasn’t so high. I run Sid for fun but I can run stable with backports and flatpaks

Agreed also most of that i think comes from people thinking X is my preference but it comes out X is the best period with the “for me” being implied but not heard by the other party.
