I agree, but agile and scrum are not meant to be followed to the letter no matter what. So people are doing it right if they notice some part of the process should be changed to make it work for them.

i have different directories named after moods/styles filled with hard links to my music. works better than playlists for me
You can go to https://distrowatch.com/ , but some are so abandoned, their status is unknown. Schrödingers distro: You have to try and install it to find out whether it’s still a thing.
b-but that requires signing up. too much effort 😅
it’s called mockery. try to keep up
lol this person can’t merge layers in gimp. there’s at least 3 obvious ways to do it, e.g. right clicking on a layer.
yeah, the icon problem is stupid. there will always be apps that don’t set the icon properly in both. especially new ones where the devs didn’t get to that for every environment, yet.
a bigger problem is java though. it’s still not wayland ready and is distorted in the compatibily layer xwayland. some old, closed source java apps that use “native” stuff (like games) will probably never run well on wayland.
lmao, i was low key looking for this trivia for several years. the irony that this was helpful 🤣
one of the cool things about tar is that it’s hard link aware
those debian daredevils like the thrill of living on the edge
apparently fools consider a finished app “dead” or “abandoned” if there isn’t a new release every week. so yeah, dev’s will just change a comment to not have their apps shunned
i was debugging assembly even before i got reincarnated
No, that’s a good choice. It reminds you to be cautious when logging in.
Some people have trouble remembering 2 and set both to the same. It’s probably better to use sudo instead.
they chose this lifestyle
AFAIK the “terminal ads” were suggesting Ubuntu Pro when using the package management. It’s very far away from actual ads. Just the free version suggesting the paid one. Not ad space sold to third parties.
you can’t say that about all of them. it’s just a small fraction

in the company, i’m employed in, yes. it allows to hire people far off for remote work.
😅 it’s a good typo. it stays.
i used symlinks first, but they break when you rename target files or directories.
as long as it’s one file system, hard links work better for me. so one day i replaced them all with hard links.
