I disagree. It’s very difficult to make money like that. A bit easier is bug bounties, but a real fixed income job is much more easy. Another, smaller problem is limited payment options with crypto. It means you’d have launder it into real money.

looool. WhatsApp is from Meta. It is the Spyware 😂

Headline seems intentionally vague. The updater was vulnerable to a download man-in-the-middle attack, because it used a weak certificate.

this is how it is in this field. the less you hear the better. didn’t hear anything about keepass, for example

if it requires a malicious extension then that’s the attack vector. that’s nothing new.

It is slower, but still fast enough for me.

You can also put a USB port blocker and exclusively charge wirelessly, which is what I do. I just don’t trust USB.

That’s not a normal thing, but you’re right. I can’t rule it out. Some phones may stay connective when off. It may require someone to tamper with them beforehand; maybe remotely while they were still on.
I read this patent at Google https://patents.google.com/patent/EP2680182A1/en and if it’s not snakeoil, monitoring the power consumption of phone components seems like a good detection method.

It does not reply. It doesn’t work when off or in airplane mode.

IMSI catchers / rogue cell towers do not work with switched off phones or in airplane mode. Source: https://shop.mobilen.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-imsi-catcher-detector/

they only know your phone is there, not that it’s you. they also need to triangulate your position to know it more exactly than “it’s in range”, which requires special hardware with an extra antenna
Spoken like someone who doesn’t have proper backups.
Do you really think ppl don’t break their wayland setup? For example, some systems don’t get a mouse cursor in wayland umless they switch the cursor to software rendering. To do that, they must often set an env var for the wayland process, but there is no standard way to do it. Half of them starts tinkering with their PAM and the others with their .profile . Sometimes this breaks every way to log in.
😯 how many tabs did you open?
I’m not using swap on my work and gaming PCs > 10 years now. I first started to question I need it, when I got a new PC going from 512MB to 2GB. Now I have 20GB in one of them and I don’t think I will ever be able to fill it all up until I get an upgrade again.

Clonezilla is more like an app that comes with an OS on a liveCD for convenience, as it’s troublesome to use the very OS you’re cloning.

btw ARM Holdings stocks have entered what I consider the affordable range, since Trump is tanking the US economy. Still RISCy. Just sayan.
I think it would be wise to disconnect it from the internet, wifi and bluetooth; then it should be fine.
yeah, i assumed a scheme where one doesn’t get thrown under the bus 😄
