Trying to be the best crab I can.
TIL! appreciate the deets
ironic that winamp is was built on open formats and widespread IP theft (music ripped and shared)… but they’re strangely prickly when it comes to their code.

that’s funny af
in personal experience, I’ve seen ungrounded equipment ground itself through people. not a pleasant experience but fortunately no cooked colleagues - but not fun at all.
Additionally, without any ground wire to pull the housings of devices to ground, the potential for a short to energize the case and then electrocute you is also high.
this will also cause resets and instability. have seen it first hand.
also recommend this. it’ll handle the in-design and pdf stuff handily. I cancelled my CC subscription in May, got an offer for two free months, then still cancelled it last week lol. Affinity is running a sale on their suite too, $80ish for all three programs - equivalent to illustrator, photoshop and in-design.
Adobe keeps shooting itself in the face. They had CC figured out about 3 years ago, all they needed to do was keep adding capabilities and keep the cost under $50ish/mo.
Then they started acquiring other companies but making those charges ON TOP of creative cloud, while increasing CC’s monthly cost.
Substance was a great suite, but it’s not worth $1200 a year on top of CC. Bye adobe!
yes, but, it reduces the computation cycle for that frame to 1ms.
as a dev, that’s daunting.
I’m not sure, but know the tech would be great for vr. Every jump - from 60 dk1 to vive’s 90 and index’s 120 have been great.
burn it all down, start fresh?
yeah, went down this rabbit hole recently: what if I’m the .001% that lives until <max age variable for my genome>? or what if ‘me’ is an amalgam of all the ones that die, and I get to live all those lives until the variable runs out.
Also I’m getting elf ears?
plastic surgery - that shit’s expensive. use that money for something better lol!
spook
could also indicate ghost or intelligence operative. I don’t assume they were going racist with it.
in the 80s I helped gut a house that had aluminum wire with paper thin cloth wrapping. anywhere you touched it it would just disintegrate. blew my mind that the place hadn’t burned to the ground, especially all the dead rodents that had nested in the piles of fragmented cloth wrap.
won’t they know there are files they haven’t decrypted?
if it could hide or delete the remaining files encrypted that would be nifty.
to be fair - core 2 duo computer with 3 gigs of ram - you’re using the desktop I had in 2009. At some point, do you think that it’s time to upgrade? no, wait, I think I had a core 2 quad actually…
One particular model won’t scan on Windows
aaaah multifunction devices are the real satan.
run a mixed network - have never had a single problem with my brother color laser from any device - win10, 11, mac, a bunch of different distros of linux… android and ios phones.
what kind of problems have you had on windows?
none of this - gun safety, sane gun policy - is a political issue. Mr 9mm doesn’t stop to ask your political affiliation before it blows through your cranium.
Do you think 5.56 or .223 give a flying fuck if the rifle shooting them was wielded for political gain?
“ooh boo hoo I think you’re making it political” yeah well get fucked, no matter your affiliation, if you think more dead kids is a political issue. sick.
sigh… go through the thread to the top buddy. I ask how many firearms does it take, you say… sigh, I have better things to do with my day, you know what, just gonna block you now, this isn’t worth my time.
your answer was shit though - add more firearms to the firearms problem is the dumbest fucking take since isolationism in ww2.
it was a shit premise.
hardware dongles were the worst. god forbid you wanted to run 3ds and lightwave on the same box, sentinel didn’t like other dongles goddamnit
