I am surprised that Thinkpad isn’t the top recommendation. It is pricey, but built to last even after multiple hardware upgradations.

64 bit OS require minimum 4 GB.I don’t think Google will like any 32 bit device though. Go for an older version from libreoffice.

Damn! I was hoping to do it with Windows 7. Looks like that ship is doomed as well.
Most computers have sufficuent battery back up to cover “patchy electricity”.
One single work day of patchy internet can change how you look at this.
I mostly use an android, and the default font is Ideal Sans Light. On my system, Arial Nova, Courier Prime, Helvetica Neue, Ideal Sans Book and a few others are regulars.
Every once in a while I get this itch which ends up in getting a new favourite font.
This is only for Thinkpads which are offered as customized units and have a longer shipping time.
