If you hate corporate funded software, you must hate linux then.

Nice to be of your help.
How’s OpenWRT to use and install. Though pretty experienced with linux. This is the first time trying to do the hardcore networking stuff.
I read on OPNSense guide it needs 2gb ram to run, it would be difficult to even get a 1gb ram for it. Not to say expensive too.
I have an old Raspberry Pi as PiHole and another Pihole running on as a virtual machine. I have an ryzen PC running as a NAS and Jellyfin.
I was trying to get a half decent PC to make a firewall router out of.
Thanks i was planning to put OpenWRT or DD WRT on it ditching Windows XP
Even if 0.1 percent of his fanbase shift to linux maybe we can demand good software and hardware support.
More likely we will have bunch of whinny fools just like him but hope springs eternal.
By remembering that Linux is not Windows is not MacOS. It is a different operating system and different way to do thing.
Just because a fool tells it, doesn’t make it a foolish statement.
Edit: Corrected a typo
Maybe do a cmos reset
One laptop, 2 ssd, 4 Proxmox lxcs, 3 docker containers, 2 routers.
My other fediverse account is reddit_sux@iusearchlinux.fyi just to hammer the point even more.
I don’t care I use Arch BTW. Someone would have made a AUR package for it by now.
You can use cockpit which is a lightweight server management software, uses extensions for increasing capabilities.
That’s a lot to learn.
Me too.
What benefits to running it as an VM rather than on bare metal.
I was doing that but I have a Windows PC on the network and have fucked up Samba too many times to be confident to do it again.
Other than gnome I don’t see fragmentation in your argument. Most of the distros have shifted to systemd, most of them are shifting to Wayland. Immutable is a way of installation.
On these basic stuff it seems they are getting less fragmented instead of more.
Linux people have always been divided emacs vs vi; gnome vs kde. Nothings gonna stop that, chill man is fun.
