Firefox@fedia.io•Firefox already had tab notes – as a third-party extension
4·25 days agoI installed Firefox on a desktop the other day to find that I still had the old Firefox Notes extension installed. Point being, different people make different extensions, some die, others live.

Firefox@fedia.io•Firefox 149 Enters Beta with Split View, More Robust HTTP/3 Upload Performance - 9to5Linux
2·2 months agoShould be rolled out in Nightly by the end of March. It would’ve been sooner but the desktop implementation didn’t take into consideration mobile.

8·3 months agoI love the bleeding edge and all that comes with it, but I’m not willing to give up on a lot of the apps I use and to be honest, I don’t wanna give up on Material 3 Expressive either.

Firefox@fedia.io•Customisable Navbar Shortcuts Landed On Nightly
4·5 months agoI just meant it’s such a niche request that I didn’t think it was appropriate to be like, “yo! Can you find the people to implement a feature only I care about?” Especially when there’s things like Tab Groups that have a huge number of people waiting. It just felt like a selfish request.

Firefox@fedia.io•Interesting Dichotomy About Browser Device Usage
1·9 months agoYeah, the inherent advantages are real, hence why the comparison is about what percentage of the user base is using mobile. The fact that Firefox Nightly is so much better than the release means it’s easier for users to give it up, but to have 98.5% of users using desktop in an age where most web traffic is served to mobile devices is insane. Firefox is getting better though, so maybe we’ll see that ratio change in the next couple of years.
