I never had too many issues with GNOME but didn’t install loads of extensions. Looking forward to seeing Cosmic grow and develop further, took a while but finally in beta

Went with EndeavourOS instead so at least I have more than an ice cubes chance in hell of not borking my install

Had this exact thought when my cousin (umprompted by me) said he wanted to try a linux-only system on his new PC, my old desktop which I’m selling him. 5800X3D/7900XTX so hardly outdated!

I count myself lucky for holding on to my 1080ti for as long as I did - by the time I made the switch to Linux the drivers were pretty stable

The Pop Shop is definitely one of the worst things about the distro, Cosmic Shop runs smooth as butter by comparison. Looking forward to the Cosmic Beta currently due in a few months

Getting a surface pro 8 soon, looking forward to getting Linux on it!

Edit: installed Pop OS on my SP8, had to switch to Wayland and also needed to do some tweaks to get the keyboard to work to decrypt but it’s running well so far. I believe you can get the camera working with the proprietary camera stack but it’s not a priority for me right now

Idk whether Proton or natively but no issues at all running it on Pop
