As posted at this new instance which appears to be trying to fill the void (heh) left by lemmyNSFW:

Xaeg/Yay was the owner of LemmyNSFW, and he had access to and paid for the domain, server, and everything else related to the site. He has been AWOL for about 6 months now, and suddenly this month, the server and the domain stopped being paid for. I have no access to the server to get the database.

Because of this LemmyNSFW as it was, and all the content on it, much to my dismay, seems to have died.

While I respect Marc Maron’s work, why does he care what I’m using?

The minuscule touchpad sucked on that netbook, making it far quicker and easier to type than smush my finger around while clicking awkwardly-placed buttons.

Back in the early 2010s I was sitting on a long train ride, and opened my hacker-sticker-covered netbook and started doing some terminal stuff in a console window; nothing particularly remarkable or exciting-looking, just navigating directories and moving some files around. An older lady sitting next to me glanced over, her eyes got wide, and she got up and moved to a seat further away from me.

I still think about that moment a lot.

That’s okay, chances are half the different distros people were talking up were Ubuntu.

That’s yet another reason I ain’t gonna play Sun City.

They tried running Linux on their ENIAC, but someone accidentally tipped over one of the crates of punch cards which has unfortunately set the project back a few months.

Also, the stupid name chosen by mid-1990s edgelords trying to be funny is still stupid.
